Blackberry Banned In Middle-East
Abu Dhabi – The government of the United Arabic Emirates (UAE) has banned the use of different services on Blackberry phones forbidden from October 2010.
The mobile phone would set security pressure of the country.
The email- and messenger services on the Blackberry make use of coded software. For security companies that is hard to check on, stated by the UAE phone company.
Different meetings with Research in Motion (RIM), the maker of the phone, to have the software available for the security services, didn’t work out.
The Blackberry phone is populair in UAE, more then 500,000 are in use at the moment.
The Golf state is the first country to block the mobile phone. In July the Indian government had critics about the safety of the phone.
